Meeting with the client

Tuesday, 28.2.2012

We presented our recent work and prepared some questions for the client.

Client's feedback:
Target group – appropriate: Dutch and foreign families (70:30)
We have to get the real percentage and what kind of people/families visit different cities. (Nieke)

We decided on english dubbing – for the tourists (mostly from Belgium, Germany and UK)

Main goal: HOW TO GET PEOPLE CLOSER TO THE GAME?

How will we achieve that?
+ changes in the game itself
+ promotion/marketing

Changes in the game:
Dubbing and multiplayer option
Register, step by step, flow chart (Emily)

After game: high-scores and badges; »society« of players, who would like to visit other cities and play the game as well à How is it going to work? (Virgnia)

Multiplayer: several players per one iPad, basic screen, screen shot (first, second step ...)

How will the multiplayer/scores look like? (Virginia/Emily)

Marketing and concept
Raising awareness with promotion/marketing
What is the main idea behind the game? What are the features consumer wants to experience? (Pavlina)

Other client's recommendations and research outcomes:
The game should be played for app. 2 hours + combinations of a day trip.
Story is non-linear, participants can not pick one mini game.
No supervisors (too complicated/expensive) – families play the game together.
One city – focus and make it simple (Utrecht)
Idea: they are going to launch several cities at once – 20.

What they need? Case that they can implement!

  1. I put a document in our dropbox with all the statistics of tourists in The Netherlands (Utrecht included). Also the style guide is in there (the documents are to big to post in the blog)
